iPad HD is in the making! by Technosprit

Forget about iPad 2, it’s time to move on! Rumor has it Apple is up for a new venturecalled ‘iPad HD’ that is expected to be out in September this year.  This is simply going to be an HD version of iPad 2 plus a retina display. Now you might be thinking what’s the big deal about that? Well, actually a retina screen is a double-resolution 2048 x 1536 pixel display, which guarantees a marvelous pixel density that is yet to be seen in other devices. Apple has already been working on double resolution artwork in some iBooks versions and in iOS 5 betaslately. With all the high-tech stuff preloaded, iPad HD is aimed for “pro” users which means it could be handy for professional photography, music and video editing.

The rumor was first popped out by a tech blog called “This is my next”, managed by former editors of Engadget. The term iPad HD is also coined by the bloggers so we aren’t quite sure of what the actual name of the tablet is going to be but according to rumors, it will be “iPad 3” or “iPad HD”. There’s not much detailed information available about the other features, specs or its price yet. But one thing is for sure, the tablet is going to equal the iPad 2 price (it could be higher too!). Because, the high-end screen itself would be so expensive that it wouldn’t let the new tablet match its price with other Apple devices. But the question is who really cares about the prices when it comes to Apple?
